BRENTWOOD COMMUNITY PARK MASTER PLAN
Welcome Brentwood Community Members to the online source for the Brentwood Community Park Master Site Plan.
With a special thanks to the Brentwood Borough Council Members, Brentwood Park Initiative, Brentwood Public Works Staff, and George Zboyovsky the master plan for Brentwood Park has been completed.
Additional thanks to all Brentwood Community Members who participated in the public meetings, interviews, and work sessions. This is your park, and it was great to see your efforts to help create a better future for it.
Where we have been and where we go from here!!!
Brentwood Park dates back to 1929 and over 80 years it has seen many new features added such as the grandstands, pool improvements, Civic Center renovations, basketball courts, baseball fields, and most recently the BAA restrooms and concession building. Brentwood Park has established itself as the center of the community and is the home field for many sports, teams, and age groups.
Over the past year your Brentwood Park Initiative has been evaluating the past successes of Brentwood Park and analyzing its future. To do this, Brentwood Park Initiative and its consultants have prepared a Master Plan. A Master Plan is a guide for the future. As a Guide, the Master Plan reviews the existing conditions of the park and makes recommendations for future improvements.
The Park Initiative's master plan goals were to up-date the existing facilities and improve the layout and use for the many athletes who use this park. The park is used during all four seasons by many sports teams for many different sports. This level of of play on the fields generates a significant impact to the playing conditions. The park must stay current to meet current codes and access issues. The park must be up-graded to provide premier playing conditions. The park must be programmed to maximize its use. Finally, the park must be phased to allow for smart development.
After addressing each of these steps the Park Initiative and its consultants finalized the master plan and report. The Master Plan and renderings shown in the attached links are the result of the Parks Initiative's look at Brentwood Park's past and future. The Master Plan will help the Brentwood Community to ascertain federal and state grants, it will be used for marketing for local and regional contributions, and it will be used to help the community see where the hard work and capital funds raised are going.
However, no mater what is envisioned for Brentwood Park's future, Brentwood still needs the help of every Brentwood Community Member and your support. Your help, your donations, and your volunteer support go directly toward your children and your community.
