Treveskyn Park Master Plan
Welcome community members of South Fayette Township to the Treveskyn Park Master Plan Website!!! 
This website is dedicated to the improvement of the Treveskyn Park site.  The goal of the website is to provide you, the community members of South Fayette Township, with up-to-date information about the project and the design process, as well has give you an opportunity to share your opinions about how you envision the future of Treveskyn Park.
What is a Parks Master Plan?

A guide for design, developing, and managing Treveskyn Park.  A master plan is a guide, created through the vision and feedback of the South Fayette Community.

How do we create one?

First we need to understand the current parks and recreation system in South Fayette and how you, the community, utilize your current facilities and programs.  Once we understand how your current park system is used we work with your community to analyze what programs we need to include in Treveskyn Park to maximize its value to the community.  Once the park is programmed, we work as team with South Fayette to layout the many park features such as ball fields, trails, playgrounds, etc.  Once a preliminary plan is made we continue to refine the plan with South Fayette, to produce a final Master Plan.  This Master Plan will be a development guide for the future of Treveskyn Park. 

Why do we do this ?

The goal is to provide the Township of South Fayette with a new addition to its great parks system.  The current site of Treveskyn Park is not currently being utilized by the township.  The site offers space and location to add to the existing park system while relieving some of the over use that some of the other township parks currently have.  The master plan will act as a guide to outline a recommended plan for smart growth of the park in a series of feasible steps. 

How can you help ?

While we can reference national standards and create analysis and conclusions based off of observation, the most successful way for us to understand the needs of South Fayette is through community involvement.  Because this master plan is developed for South Fayette it is essential to have detailed input from the community.  We want your opinions about the current parks system, our design concepts for Treveskyn Park and what you think your new park needs to make it great.  This web-site has been created for you as an easy way to follow along with the master plan process and provide your feedback and opinions as we go.
